You can contact us by email at sales@stompville.co.uk for any queries regarding orders or your account or webmaster@stompville.co.uk for any issues with the website.  We encourage you to email the webmaster and advise any discrepancies, errors or omissions you may notice on the website or regarding any of the product details, pictures or accompanying information.

2. Pricing and VAT

All prices are in Sterling (GBP).  Myriad Design only accepts payment in GBP. If the payment processor (e.g. PayPal) allows you to pay in another currency, the applicable exchange rate will be set by the payment processor.  No correspondence will be entered into regarding exchange rates.

We make every effort to ensure that all our prices are accurate and up to date.  However, we reserve the right to change our prices at any time. The price charged will be that prevailing at the time of order acceptance. E&OE.

Myriad Design is not registered for VAT.  We do not charge VAT on sales of products or services and we do not provide VAT invoices. All prices are net.

3. Delivery and handling charges

UK deliveries. We use Royal Mail first-class post to send goods in the UK.  Small orders which will fit into the Royal Mail category of Large Letter and with a gross weight of up to 100g will incur a delivery and handling charge of £1.95.  Packages larger than Large Letter or heavier than 100g will be charged on a sliding scale accordingly.

International deliveries.  The Myriad Design Webshop is set up to service some international destinations. If your country is set-up on our system, please register and make an order.  If your country is not set up on our system, please email sales@stompville.co.uk advising your location and a list of what you wish to purchase and we may be able to provide a quotation.  Myriad Design retains the right to refuse to supply or ship goods to any potential customer in any country or territory for any reason at its sole discretion and without explanation.

Myriad Design is a small team and on some working days no staff are available to process orders.  Orders are processed as quickly as possible, which will usually be the next working day from the day your order is received. In the event that there will be a significant despatch delay, you will be notified by email.  Also, any anticipated delays or webshop closures (such as holidays) will be prominently advised on the website.  You will receive an email advising that your goods have been despatched.

If any goods received are (or appear to have been) damaged in transit, you should let us know by email or in-writing within three working days.

4. Making a contract with us

When you place an order with us, you are making an offer to buy goods.  You will be required to agree to these terms and conditions before finalising your order.  Providing you supplied a valid email address, you will receive an automated email to confirm that we have received your order.  Once we have checked the price and availability of the goods, we will email you again to confirm that we accept your order and that a contract has been made between us.

We make every effort to ensure that our pricing and stock level information is accurate and up to date.  We will take payment from you at the time you place the order.  We offer all goods in good faith that the data on our website are accurate.  In the unlikely event that the goods are no longer available, or that we have made a pricing mistake, we will advise you of this.  You will not receive an email confirming acceptance of your order, and there will be no contract between us.  Your payment will be refunded in part or in full as appropriate or as agreed between us.

If the some or all of the goods are not available, we will not, as a matter of course, supply you with substitute goods.  We may contact you to offer alternative or substitute goods if suitable alternatives are available or we may offer to send the goods you ordered as and when then they come back into stock but you are under no obligation to accept our offer.

We do not normally accept orders for goods which are out-of-stock at the time of order.

5. How to place an order

The Myriad Design Webshop uses the common 5-step process to place an order.  You must register on the site to place an order, however, you may initially register without providing invoice/delivery addresses, in which case you will need to confirm these when you place your first and subsequent orders. We strongly recommend you fully register on the site (including your shipping address) to ensure that our system can find a carrier for your order.

The steps to placing an order are:-

1. Add items to the shopping cart
2. Review your shopping cart, check for correct part numbers and quantities and ensure that the items you are ordering are what you want.
3. Checkout, confirm your delivery details and shipping method.
4. Confirm you accept the terms and conditions and that you desire to complete the order.
5. Make a payment.

If you find that the order is not correct at the review stage (stage 3) you may amend quantities and/or delete items from the shopping cart before going to stage 4.  At any time before you have completed stage 4, you can return to the website and browse for additional or alternative products.

6.  Cancellation and returns

This policy does not apply to the following goods, which are excluded from the right to cancel:

  • Semiconductors supplied in a sealed ESD (anti-static) protective package, where the package has been opened.

If you are a consumer, then  (under the provisions of the Distance Selling Regulations) you can cancel your contract at any time up to 7 (seven) working days after the day of delivery.  To do this, please email us or write to us.  You do not have to give any reason for cancellation.  However, a brief explanation will help us to improve the service we offer to customers in the future.  If you cancel, you must return the goods to us at your own expense.  You must ensure that the goods are packaged adequately to protect against damage.  If you fail to return the goods, we will collect them, and we will charge you the direct cost of collection.  If you fail to take reasonable care of the goods before they are returned to us, and this results in damage or deterioration, we will charge you for the reduction in value.  This cancellation policy does not affect your legal rights — for example, if goods are faulty, incorrectly described or incorrect part numbers are inadvertently despatched.

If you are a business purchaser, then you can cancel your contract at any time up to 7 (seven) working days after the day of delivery.  To do this, please email us or write to us.  You do not have to give any reason for cancellation.  If you cancel, you must return the goods to us at your own expense.  To receive a refund (less a 20% re-stocking charge and excluding any delivery and handling charges you have paid), you must ensure that the goods are packaged adequately to protect against damage.  If you fail to return the goods, we will not process your refund. If you fail to take reasonable care of the goods before they are returned to us, and this results in damage or deterioration, we will charge you for the reduction in value.  This cancellation policy does not affect your legal rights.

 7. Quality

In general parts are sourced from reputable manufacturers/suppliers (such as Farnell, Mouser, Digi-key, Rapid) and we have every reason to believe that such parts are genuine new stock.  All JFETs offered as matched sets are tested and qualified by Myriad Design using an automated testing facility at an ESD protected workstation.

Some obsolete or difficult to obtain parts are sourced from Hong Kong or China.  Such items include, but are not limited to, germanium diodes, obsolete JFETs, specialised audio integrated circuits, etc.  Where such items are offered individually or sold as part of a kit, the uncertain provenance of these items will be clearly stated.  Samples of each batch received will be tested. We do not trade in new-old-stock electrolytic capacitors.

 8. Faulty goods

If there is a problem with the goods, please contact us.  We will deal with the matter in accordance with your legal rights.

 9. Changes to these terms

These terms were prepared on 13 July 2017.  These terms supersede previous versions of our standard terms and conditions.  These terms apply to your order.  We may change our terms and conditions at any time, so please do not assume that the same terms will apply to future orders.
